Agamemnon

Agamemnon is a very prideful catcher in the Trojan War.  he as even willing to sacrifice his own  daughter Iphigenia "....the king's nature could not bear the reproach of failure ...."(p.30) He is a heartless as the quote says.

Iphigenia

Iphigenia was a young and beautiful lady but her father Agamemnon had to take the her life.  Even the swift footed Achilles tried to save her.  Iphigenia  is not actually dead "Only the gods knew that what seemed her lifeless body was really that of a fawn..."(p.30)

Calchas

Calchas is the soothsayer for Agamemnon.  Calchas is the the one who told Agamemnon that needed to make a sacrifice .  Iphigenia her daughter was to be the sacrifice, to change the winds. Chalchas  is a very kind person "Your daughter, Iphigenia" answered the prophet with his to the ground".(p.28)
